chilly sunsets are the best

There's some atmospheric reason for that, right? Or is it just the clouds making things pretty? Sunsets in cold weather are awesome. These are some pics I've taken looking out across the back field on two recent evenings. The sky in the second set of shots blew my mind. These are not digitally enhanced at all.

Whoa. You weren't kidding about the second one. And cameras never seem to be able to capture sunrises/sunsets exactly the way we humans see them, so I imagine it was even more epic in person!

Now that you have your sunset technique perfected, you need to be in Maui or Kaui, or someplace where sunsets (and sunrises, but I doubt you'd see many of those) are spectacular.

I agree with both Sarah and Jan! I used to get frustrated that I could never "photograph exactly what I saw". But gosh, you came as close as you can get! I saw that sunset, it was marvelous! And while beaches are nice, I am sure a magical place called WY is calling your name more frequently....

And those were taken on the little pink camera! Pinkie often tends to handle skies better than The Beast anyway.

I'm not much of a beach bum, but one of these years I do need to visit the islands. Yeah I'd much rather see the sun set over the Tetons in WY, but my WY buddy says it's durn cold up there right now and will be for a long time. The obvious solution here is to win the lottery and live in WY from May to October, and then in Maui from November to April. Except that whole back and forth every six months would kind of suck I think. ;-)
