That background is going to be DARK. I'll probably have to go over it 3-4 more times to get enough dots on there to make it as black as possible. That's a lotta dots... just sayin'...

Magnificent start...I think this will be a great knife!!! Do the pin pricks seal over when polished (and after inking) Or do you have to seal them some other way? Do the inks of today fade in light? Do you have your Standard yet??? Aaron
I will seal and polish the whole thing with multiple layers of microcrystalline wax (Renaissance Wax). The inks are labeled fadeproof, but as with any art media I do suggest people not keep things in bright sunlight.
NO I still don't have a Standard. :-( A little birdie tells me that it might be doable, so I continue holding my breath... because I'll be darned if I'm going to buy myself one!
