This is my second engraving on metal, done in the "bulino" style. This image is created entirely with dots. The process is a lot like scrimshaw. This is on steel, and is 1 by 3/4 inch. I am trying to learn to use lines as well, but that does not come as easily to me. Stay tuned for lines. And scrolls. My scrolls look like drunken snails right now.
I wish you could all see these things in person, they're so different in person. So little!
These photos are taken through the microscope, which has better clarity in the center of the field of view.
