Day 3: Albuquerque to Amarillo

Okay, I think it's going to be easier for the most part of I just blog via photo captions, otherwise I'm mostly repeating myself, and by the time I get all the pics done it's late and I'm tired anyway. We went from Albuquerque to Amarillo today, which really isn't very far, but we spent some time in Santa Fe too, and we're ahead of schedule anyway.

Ooh, Amarillo... We drove there from Riverside in a day - 1000 miles. Ugh! The whole city smelled like cow poo. Nice!

Yeah, I agree with Dougzilla. Did you happen to pass through Tucumcari? I really did feel that I had reached the end of the earth when I finally made it to that town. MIDDLE OF NOWHERE! West Texas and East NM, now that is really an empty space. -BMc.

Yes, we went through Tucumcari.

Douglas, alas, I tried to find the truck stop with the great burrito, but couldn't find anything that sounded right. Maybe it's not there anymore.
