"The Fancy"

How it all began: On July 29, 1987, I got my first pair of fancy chickens--a pair of Spangled Old English Game Bantams. I named them "Wilson" and "July" and I was hooked! And so began what is now 18 years of chicken-craziness. That's more than 2/3 of my life! Not only do I enjoy the birds, but being a part of "the fancy" has introduced me to the absolute most wonderful people in the world, the poultry people. :-)
