    Scrimshaw . . engraving on bone, traditionally whalebone, right? These are wonderful! Really want to know more about how it's done.

    Oh, and I forgot to say it's traditionally engraving in ivory, whale teeth, bone, or synthetic surfaces that are similar to those.
