opportunity

The first seven (7) people to respond to this post will get something made by me. (This is posted in 4 places, fyi).

This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:

- I make no guarantees that you will like what I make. I will not take requests.
- What I create will be just for you. But it may be similar to other things I've made, and I may post instructions for making similar items.
- It'll be done this year (2009).
- If I reply to your comment to say you're in, I'll ask you to email me your real name and address.

The catch is that you have to put this in your journal as well.

The seven people will be confirmed once they have committed.

  1. Are you in? Do you have somewhere to post the same offer?

  2. Katherine,
I stumbled onto your tutorials in an engraving forum and from there to here. I must say you do incredible work. I am into primitive skills, making bows and arrows and stone knives and arrow heads and such. I just recently bought a black powder rifle and carved the stock then made a leather pouch with leather carving, I tried scrimshawing a powder horn which looks like hand scratching by a bore 1807 rifleman in the dark around a campfire. Ok for that one now I want to do a Buffalo n the next horn. Your tutorials helped me a lot in understanding ow you get such a detailed look but How do you decide where lightness and darkness merge and to what degree. In the bear tutorial it was obvious to me that you were not looking a a picture. I loved your Pine trees in that one. Any advice for a rank beginner?

  4. Well I'm very late to this post, but I just want to say I have admired your work for years. Someday, somehow, I hope to have some of your chicken art. Oh I know that's out of bounds, but trust me I wouldn't complain if I just had your autograph. I also don't journal on line, so hope you'll accept my compliments on your wonderful drawings.
